Downtempo, experimental and ambient, says the blurb in Discogs, and who am I to argue?
No idea where I picked this up, and I don't remember previously listening to it, but Eno and Fripp are two of my musical heroes, and co created Evening Star, one of my favorite pieces of music.
But you'll struggle to find anything as lovely as that among these tunes. Most tunes seem to be loops, or multiply repeated themes, with soundscapes swooping in and out over them, which while at some points restful, don't always achieve the ambient aim of being simultaneously background you can ignore, while oo interesting to ignore.
But there are one or two which stand out. Timean Sparkles is a lovely guitar chiming piece, and The Idea Of Decline puts some typically Frippian treated guitar themes over quite a funky base. Hopeful Timean is peaceful and relaxing, as is Voices, and final track Cross Crisis in Lust Storm allows Fripp to let his guitar loose to pleasing effect. Apart from Sneering Loop making my teeth hurt, the rest are listenable without inspiring.
3* - Mostly enjoyable, but not too much that engages.
