Once again, this is a recent eBay purchase for a couple of quid.
It's the second of Eno's Ambient series, this one a collaboration with American minimalist composer Harold Budd, who died in 2020, aged 84, of Covid complications.
There's no much to say about this. It's a series of quiet, contemplative piano pieces, overlaying gentle Eno soundscapes, which achieve the Eno ambient goal. They're possible to ignore (I'm on my third listen while working, and I've zoned out frequently), but when you actually listen, they are beautifully serene pieces. None stand out in particular, which is the ambient point, but all are worth a few minutes in your ears, if only to aid rest and relaxation. So, sit back in your comfy chair, click the link below, and just let yourself go for forty minutes.
4* - Possibly a step closer to the ambient goal than its predecessor. Just lovely.
